Our employees are central to our success, so making sure they are safe and healthy is a big priority.

Our occupational health & safety management system is in line with OHSAS 18001 which ensures we maintain a high safety level and fulfil all relevant legal requirements. Any one that takes care of Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) meet at least once a year to share their experiences and best-practice advice.
Notes
1 In our 2017 employee survey, 90 % of employees “fully agreed” or “agreed” that Grünenthal is a physically safe place to work.
2 Lost Time Injury Frequency (LTIF) means accidents per 1 million hours worked. Our LTIF could be reduced from 16.8 in 2008 to 4.6 in 2015.
3 All (100 %) of the employees at the production sites (3,122 or 59 % of the whole of Grünenthal) are represented through an occupational-health-and-safety committee in which employer and employee representatives can discuss occupational-health-and-safety issues. As a rule, national standards for the country concerned are implemented.
