Conducting business responsibly is a core part of our company’s strategy and culture. We provide transparent reporting about our progress for responsibility and sustainability, and our performance is regularly rated by independent agencies in line with environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria.

Provisional AA rating for ESG

For the second year in a row, Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) has recognised Grünenthal as an industry leader for managing the most significant ESG risks and opportunities by awarding a ‘(p) AA’ rating. Scores range from CCC (laggard) to AAA (leader), depending on exposure to industry-specific ESG risks and the ability to manage those risks relative to peers.

ESG Top Rated

Sustainalytics recognizes us as one of the top performing companies in our industry, based on our ESG risk rating score. The agency certified Grünenthal as a low ESG risk and assessed our risk management as strong, acknowledging the robustness of our ESG program, practices, and policies.

Gold medal for sustainability

The Gold medal rating from EcoVadis puts us in the top 5 percent of companies assessed worldwide. The rating evaluates companies across four key areas: Environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.
